Advanced coatings for harsh conditions
With our Graco Gusmer GH-3 hydraulic proportioner we apply 100% pure polyurea, hybrid and elastomeric coatings. Polyurea cures within seconds and forms a seamless protective layer against abrasion, impact, water and chemicals.
For tanks holding acids and aggressive chemicals we apply vinyl ester; for drinking water tanks, food-grade solvent-free epoxy. For tank linings the surface is blasted to Sa 3.
Applications
Where we use them
| Application | Surface preparation and coating |
|---|---|
| Wastewater treatment tanks | Sa 3 blasting / 100% pure polyurea |
| Seawater desalination tanks | Sa 3 blasting / high-solids epoxy and polyurea |
| Drinking water treatment tanks | Sa 3 blasting / food-grade solvent-free epoxy |
| Tanks for acids and aggressive chemicals | Sa 3 blasting / vinyl ester |
| Tank internal lining (on site) | Sa 3 blasting / pure polyurea or vinyl ester with Graco Gusmer |
| Factory floors | Mechanical surface preparation / pure polyurea |
| Roofs and insulation | Surface cleaning / polyurethane foam and polyurea insulation |
| Hotel aqua park steel structures | Sa 3 blasting / chlorine- and weather-resistant polyurea |
Frequently asked questions
About polyurea and special linings
What is polyurea coating?
Polyurea is a two-component elastomeric coating that cures within seconds and offers very high resistance to abrasion, impact and chemicals. It is used for tank linings, floors, roofs and structures in contact with water.
Which equipment do you use to apply polyurea?
We apply 100% pure polyurea, hybrid and elastomeric coatings with a Graco Gusmer GH-3 hydraulic proportioner.
Which lining is suitable for tanks holding acids?
For tanks holding acids and aggressive chemicals we apply a vinyl ester lining after Sa 3 blasting. For drinking water tanks we use food-grade solvent-free epoxy.
